Hearthstone has a number of volunteer activities for those who wish to assist those who suffer with dementia.  Some special talents that can be used are music and artistic abilities.  Contact Janet Hardt, Resident Care Coordinator, for more information on how you can help.

Residents often need a volunteer to accompany them to medical appointments.  Volunteers are reimbursed for their mileage.  This is an excellent way to assist families and residents who are unable to make their own transportation arrangements.  Medical appointments may be in town and out of town.  You may contact the Social Services Department if you wish to volunteer your time.
