To prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) into our community, Fairhaven will continue with a NO VISITORS INSIDE status. We will now be allowing scheduled window visits.

PLEASE READ THE POLICY AND PROCEDURES BELOW.

THERE ARE NO CASES IN THE FACILITY AT THIS TIME.

What are we doing?

At Fairhaven, we continue to be guided by the CDC and Wisconsin Public Health in their three-step process for re-entry of Skilled, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. We are currently in Phase 1 of the three steps towards re-entry. This means that the area continues to be monitored for the virus and its’ increase within our area.

Fairhaven continues to monitor what is happening within the state through the Wisconsin Health Department and CDC. There are no cases in the facility at this time.

Fairhaven is taking the steps below and will modify as necessary. For the full update of steps being taken for re-entry, CLICK HERE.

We recognize the importance of interaction with family and friends and want to support our residents by keeping them safe and supported during these times. We will be allowing SCHEDULED window visits at this time.

Please read the policy and procedures closely. IF THERE ARE ANY VIOLATIONS TO POLICY, PHYSICAL CONTACT, OR A WINDOW BARRIER IS COMPROMISED, A 14-DAY QUARANTINE WILL BE INITIATED TO KEEP ALL RESIDENTS SAFE.

Thank you for following the steps in place to keep your loved ones, neighbors, and staff safe.

Steps We Are Taking

For Residents:

  • Monitoring symptoms daily.
  • Wear “masks” within the building and wash hands when using common spaces.
  • Fairhaven will provide transportation to medical appointments. We will continue to do the shopping.
  • Providing education and training with residents regarding measures taken to prevent the spread of infection, hand hygiene, and respiratory etiquette

For Staff:

  • Monitoring health, and temperatures are taken for all employees before each shift
  • Maintaining the focus on prevention, infection control, and hand hygiene
  • Reviewing protocol for cleaning and sanitation
  • Reviewing emergency plans and responses

For Family and Visitors:

  • NO OUTSIDE VISITORS
  • Encouraging other forms of communication such as phone calls, skype, facetime, etc.
  • If you have traveled outside the state/country or to an area known to have an outbreak or are experiencing any symptoms, please let us know your status.

We will provide updates as necessary on our website and in communications with you. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Fairhaven at 262-473-2140.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping to protect the health and safety of all we care for.

COVID-19 Update 5/27/2020

The week of May 18th Nursing Staff swabbed 407 Residents and Staff throughout Fairhaven (Prairie Village, Hearthstone, Independent Living, Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living) and we are thrilled to announce that ALL 407 Tests came back NEGATIVE!!!!! While we understand that this does not mean we are out of the woods for COVID-19, we feel the need to congratulate and thank everyone; Staff, Residents, Family Members, Loved Ones, and anyone else that has been effected in relation to Fairhaven for all they have done. We understand it hasn’t been easy to change our daily routines but we appreciate it!

What does this mean going forward?
The CDC and State/Local Health Departments are still not advising opening the doors to visitors, window visits, group programs, and other restrictions that have been in place. Transportation Services will continue to grocery shop, pick up medications, and take residents to appointments unless they are independent and would like to drive themselves. They are working on a 3 phased program that is yet to be finalized.
We are allowing; after being screened and temped at the front desk; for musical entertainers and special guest presenters to come in and provide live programming onto our in-house channel.
On Friday, May 22nd we did go forward with allowing Independent residents to take walks/bike rides off of Fairhaven Property and also to go for Car Rides. Residents are to not be going through the drive thru’s, into stores/restaurants nor meeting up with others.
With the nice weather, we have started to get residents from the floors outside and even slowly started back up with our Cycling Without Age Program. (at this time only those working for/living within Fairhaven can give rides).

Again, we want to take this time to say THANK YOU to everyone for your part in keeping COVID-19 out of Fairhaven and your understanding that we still have a ways to go.
